Learn Lettering Online

In 2017, we began partnering with lettering artists on in-person workshops and noticed not only our community’s interest in learning from artists, but specifically the need to bring course offerings online. We’re a global community, and we want to provide access to as many people as possible. We’re excited to announce our first online course partnership available to you, no matter where you’re located.

The affable Adam Vicarel has partnered with Craftsy to bring you Hand Lettering for Beginners.  Adam is a Denver based graphic designer and lettering artist with a BFA in Visual Communication Design from the University of Dayton. He is as full of adventure as he is of charm and wit.

Adam begins with introducing many of the basic concepts and terms that make up the foundation of hand lettering. He then moves from the basics of letterforms to teaching how to refine your lettering. He explores multiple lettering styles and creates completed pieces on various surfaces.

This course is broken down into six lessons that can be repeated and used as an ongoing resource while practicing your lettering. It also comes with a downloadable typography guide and lettering examples.

The platform offers the opportunity to ask Adam questions and get personalized feedback. So while it isn’t an in person course, you still get the opportunity to interact. We’re impressed and think this is a great foundation for those looking to get into lettering.

Learn more about the course here. The course is currently on sale for 25% off.
